We did a practice run on building a gingerbread house. This was a quick fasty made from graham crackers and some leftover cookie frosting.

It looked like this for exactly 7 seconds.

Then, they went all Hansel and Gretel on it.

treat or treat

The Rowdy Girls went trick or treating for the first time. Roo stuck with her pirate costume. Em switched it up and went as Belle from Beauty & the Beast. Aunt Kaki is Audrey .

Em was pretty shy and stuck to me like a burr. She poked her head around and would quickly whisper "trick or treat" and then hide again.

Roo shocked us all and embraced her inner pirate. She stomped down the sidewalk bellowing, "Arg!" and marched right up to doors shouting "Trick or Treat!"

She likes candy.

That would be three lollies in her hand.

Em's exhibitionist side reemerged once we were home and the sugar kicked in. Glow stick rave!

Pancakes, Trains and Candy

We're loving summer Saturdays. Last weekend we kicked it off with breakfast at a favorite place that makes incredible pancakes and, well, everything.

Pancakes make us happy.

Next up was a ride on the Zilker Zephyr, a first for our whole family. It was the perfect bright shiny day for a train ride.

For the grand finale, we introduced the girls to Big Top Candy Shop. And their heads nearly exploded. So.Many.Choices.
