Bedtime was put into slow motion tonight.
J was running late at work, so we slowed things down to make sure he arrived in time to "fly" little girls to bed and say prayers.
Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite was playing and Em and Roo played with their Little People through most of the music.
Until the Waltz of the Flowers. Em perked up first. Then, Roo, who asked for "Baby Dance." They recognize the piece from the Classical Baby series.
The abbreviated music scores an animated flower fairy dance on the show.
Neither Em nor Roo has ever listened to the piece in its entirety. In the video you see Em finish up several times and then realize that the dance continues. She was committed, though, and danced almost all of it. And took her bows at the end.

This may be my favorite RG movie evah! I love the way Em changes up her dance with the phrases in the music. Her balance is amazing! And Roo is doing so well spotting her turns. That giggle is just the bestest! Thank you for the beautiful dance, GrandLadies!!!
Love those tiny dancers. So cute! Does Roo giggle when she gets dizzy? Funny!
